    Late to reply but:

    Good news! But some adjustments needed —

    — Reduce ram to 16GB which will save on money

    — SSD HDD increases speed exponentially

    — Stop using Windows. Linux is fantastic and should be pushed hard. That is where Elbrus architecture shines. In windows environment it doesn’t fair as well.

    Such a computer is perfect for educational institutions, hospitals, other civil government institutions. Also great for office use.

      MCST puts SSD in all of their workstations (except for 801PC2 which only got 1Tb HDD due to the lack of mSATA port on the mobo -- I’ve told them it’s a gross regression and SATA SSD would still be much preferred).

      They do push Linux (and we do too) but some of the customers are stuck with win32 software at the moment; wine+rtc does the trick but that’s a bit different story as you might know already.

      I’ll try conveying your message on «too much RAM» there as I concur overall, 32 Gb is only really needed for massive computing tasks or multiuser work on today’s desktop.
